Bird seed confetti eggs!

With Fiesta right around the corner I've been inspired to create my own version of confetti eggs! Since we usually buy dozens of these eggs during Santa Barbaras most famous pastime we always have some left over. Inevitably the kids break them anywhere and everywhere and I end up cleaning up mini confetti pieces for the next few weeks. My solution was to fill them with bird seed or even wildflowers depending on where you're breaking them. Not only do you not need to clean it up but it's a great way to help the environment and feed the birds. The process of making the eggs is simple you just gently crack open the top of the egg and empty out the contents (maybe have a recipe that requires a lot of egg whites on hand!). Once they're dry dip them in a cup of water and food coloring mix. After that dries fill them with bird seed, then use some elmer's glue around the top of the egg where the crack is and cover it with a small piece of tissue paper and that's that! Have fun and break and egg for us!!
